Differentiated Systems of Support for Rural Agencies
The primary focus of the Differentiated Systems of Support for Rural Agencies Community of Practice (CoP) is to explore effective strategies for providing differentiated federal and state support for districts and schools to strengthen and expand educational opportunities for students in rural communities. In particular, the CoP will build educators’ capacity to design and implement coherent local ESSA planning and action that:
Supports learning how to learn and the development of social and emotional, academic, life, and work skills;
Increases access to needed technological and student support resources and services;
Addresses educator shortages and provides more job-embedded, personalized, and skill-based professional learning; and,
Improves education-to-work transition and advances local economic development.
